Morella

Puglia, Italy

A winery in Manduria in southern Puglia, founded in 2000 by Gaetano Morella and winemaker Lisa Gilbee, who came to Italy from Australia in 1992. They champion traditional Primitivo from old bush vines (alberello) on red terra rossa over limestone – some of them over 80 years old. They farm around 20 ha biodynamically and ferment with native yeasts.
