Winemaker
Deutschherrenhof
Mosel, Germany
A family winery in Trier on the Mosel, focused above all on Riesling from slate vineyards. It farms around 9 ha. Winemaker Sebastian Oberbillig practises “controlled non-intervention” in the cellar, making clean, precise, mineral wines. The heart of the estate is the steep Deutschherrenköpfchen vineyard, revived from 2007, which now yields Riesling at Grosses Gewächs level.
