A family winery in Stetten in the Weinviertel, just outside Vienna. In 1978 Roman and Adelheid Pfaffl took over a farm with 0.7 ha of vines; in 1983 they bottled their first 200 bottles and within twenty years built one of Austria's leading wineries. Since 2011 it has been run by their children Roman Josef and Heidemarie. In 2016 Wine Enthusiast named it European Winery of the Year – above all for its Grüner Veltliner.
