Champagne Gruet
Champagne, France
A family Champagne house from Buxeuil in the Côte des Bar, in the south of Champagne. According to the house, the family has farmed here since 1670 – the neighbouring vineyards Bas-Gruet and Sur-Gruet bear witness to these deep roots. Claude Gruet released his first own cuvées in 1975 and now runs the house with his son Pierre-Charles. The clay-limestone soils, similar to Chablis, suit above all Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
