Winemaker
Casa Marin
San Antonio Valley, Chile
A boutique winery in Lo Abarca in the San Antonio Valley, just a few kilometres from the Pacific. It was founded in 2000 by winemaker María Luz Marín – the first woman in Chile to own a private winery. Against expert advice she planted vines in the cool coastal climate; locals nicknamed her “the crazy woman of Lo Abarca”. Today she farms around 50 ha with her sons and is one of Chile's finest cool-climate producers.
