Winemaker
Barkan
Israel
Israel's largest winery, based at Kibbutz Hulda between Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. Its roots go back to cellars from the turn of the 20th century; in its present form it was founded in 1990 by Yair Lerner and Shmuel Boxer, who bet on modernisation and on planting their own vineyards across Israel. All its wines are kosher.
