Château Croix de Marsan
Bordeaux, France
Croix de Marsan is a label of the Gonfrier family, based at Château de Marsan in Lestiac-sur-Garonne on the right bank of the Garonne, south-east of Bordeaux. The estate bears the name of Pierre de Marsan, a descendant of the Viscounts of Marsan, and has made wine since the 17th century. The Gonfriers bought it in 1962; since 1997 they have also vinified grapes from some forty partner growers – which is where Croix de Marsan comes from.
